Orchard View softball clinches Lakes 8 title, sweeps Manistee

The Orchard View softball team clinched a Lakes 8 title with a doubleheader sweep of Manistee Wednesday. The Cardinals won 12-11 and 7-1.

The wins move OV to 24-6 on the year and 12-0 in the conference.

Halee Holman crushed two homers and drove in five. Madi Bowen and Lauren Wroblewski each homered in the opener.

Holman smacked another round-tripper in the second game. The trio of long balls gives Holman the single-season school record with 11 home runs.

Cassidee White had two hits in each game for OV.
