The Cardinals defeated last year's Division 3 State Runner-up and Conference foe, Ludington 2-1. Maverick Carlisle and Roger McKenzie scored both goals for the birds. Earlier in the season the two teams fought to a 3-3 tie but the Cards were not to be denied on this evening. With the win, the Cardinals set up a home showdown with perennial conference foe, Western Michigan Christian. A win Thursday would put the Cardinals one game up in the conference standings with Muskegon Catholic as the lone remaining team that would have a chance to keep them from the title. Orchard View has won several District titles in school history but the Conference title has proven to be elusive. The Cards improve to 12-2-1 overall with the victory tonight.
