The Orchard View boys basketball team earned its first victory of the season with an exciting 55-52 non-
league win over Fruitport on Tuesday night.
Orchard View, now 2-3, led 17-11 after one quarter, trailed 30-29 at the half, and led 45-41 after three quarters.
Jaylin Briggs scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead the Cardinals. Brady Bowen chipped in 15 points and five steals.
Cameron Oleen netted 15 points to lead the Trojans while Marcelo Conklin and Hunter Gannon scored 12 points apiece.
