Edmari Mitchell accounted for six touchdowns to lead Orchard View to its first win of the season, 50-28, over Manistee on Friday in a Lakes 8 contest.
The Cardinals sophomore running back finished with over 300 total yards, rushing for four touchdowns, catching a TD pass and throwing for another.
OV led 21-14 after one quarter, with Mikey Grinell (8-yard run) and Mitchell (2 yards) scoring on the ground, and Mitchell hitting Devin Doss on a 47-yard halfback pass.
After a scoreless second quarter, Manistee tied the game at 21-21 in the third before the Cardinals scored 21 straight points.
Mitchell added a 68 yard TD run and caught a 16-yard scoring pass from Owen Swanson in the third quarter, and had touchdown runs of 49 and 50 yards in the fourth.
Orchard View improved to 1-4 on the season and 1-1 in Lakes 8 Conference action.
