Orchard View boys sneak past Fruitport, advance to Class B district semifinals

The Orchard View boys basketball team overcame a small halftime deficit and defeated Fruitport 47-39 in the first round of the Class B district tournament at Spring Lake High School on Monday.
The Cardinals led 11-10 after one quarter, trailed 21-20 at halftime and led 35-29 after three.
Cam Williams paced Orchard View with 21 points while Luis Suarez added 12.
Aric Steward had 12 points for Fruitport.
OV will play Whitehall at Spring Lake on Wednesday in the district semifinals at 6 p.m.
